AU Info (SPOILERS EVERYWHERE): Not so much an AU as a continuation of Roland's new journey. Possessing a human soul and a mind to match, Mordred grew to be curious about the ka-tet one of his fathers and one of his mothers shared. Despite killing Mia only minutes after being born, and plagued by a vicious hunger since his first moments, he observes Roland and Susannah as they grow closer to the Tower, and even palavers with them both on their intentions with the tower and the code of the gunslingers. These conversations confuse Mordred greatly, and although he is irrevocably tainted by the Outer Dark, he strives to become more in tune with the White. He's the first one surprised by his complete willingness to consciously destroy Walter o'Dim when it becomes clear the sorcerer intends to use him for his own ends...
